The Sports Performance and Prevention Conference (SPPC) 2021 – In the Field of Play offers an evolved conference from 2020 with the same exceptional delivery, content and lessons as SPPC 2020 that you can take straight back into the field of play.

By bringing together another exceptional line up of industry experts from across New Zealand’s exercise and sports medicine fraternity, as well as internationally renowned professionals, SPPC 2021 aims to take you from the sideline and right ‘into the field of play’. While running the sideline you will be building knowledge capabilities and processes in preparing for trouble, managing medical emergencies and managing sideline trauma across a range of sports codes in the contexts of game day, tournaments and major sporting events.

Speakers and presentations will focus on injury prevention, treatment and return to play while putting the health and wellbeing of players at the core. The aim is to enhance and build knowledge to ensure that our players and athletes are managed well in terms of preventing and managing the incidence and severity of in-play injury.

SPPC 2021 is the perfect one-day event for anyone involved in Aotearoa’s sports industry who is responsible for ensuring the health, welfare and performance of our NZ athletes. It’s especially relevant for those working with players or athletes in both participation and high performance environments. All sports professionals from community and club sport personnel, strength & conditioning coaches, physiotherapists and sports physicians, through to high performance and coaching personnel within both national and regional sports, across all sporting codes, are welcome.

In 2021 we are hosting two satellite hubs in Wellington and Dunedin, the main Auckland hub, and a newly added online viewing option. SPPC 2021 will feature a two-way interactive live streaming platform to bring the venues together throughout the day. The satellite hubs will feature a live speaker at your venue as well as the opportunity to ask speakers questions by livestream in real time.
